Today you are six. You are loud, you are gross, you are hilarious, you are handsome, and you are six. You’re still one of my favorite people in the whole, wide world and I love to be around you. I love the way you wink at me, or flash me the “I love you” sign, or are so quick to kiss me. I love how sensitive you are, how technical your mind works, how stubborn you are. There are so, so many facets of your personality and your being and they are all really starting to make an appearance.
When you went skiing this year in Montana, you were taken away from the group up the bunny hill with an instructor. I couldn’t find you when I came looking for you! I was so proud when I found you gliding smoothly down the big hill and even more so when your instructor gave me your feedback. She could tell how smart you were just from that one lesson. We see it every day buddy.
Every morning I have you repeat your affirmations, and my favorite one is “I am kind.” You have the kindest soul Harry. You are constantly aware of others. You worked so hard to gain the cats trust. You always know when I need a little wink. Your kindness knows no bounds and I hope that it just keeps growing. You’re doing a great job taking care of this world we live in and the people around you.
Keep growing buddy. Don’t be discouraged when something is hard, as I know many things come pretty naturally to you. Keep up the amazing work in math and you will go far. Stay curious, stay goofy, keep up the amazing work young man. I love you to the moon and then stay there for a while.
